Terry M. Schlade received his Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from Harvard Law School in 1966. He previously received B.S. degrees in both economics and accounting (with highest honors) from the University of Illinois. Since 1966, Mr. Schlade has acquired extensive experience in commercial and intellectual property intensive transactions, financing, software and technology development and license agreements, franchise systems and Native American transactions and gaming. He is noted for previously developing franchise systems for several major hotel and fast food licensors, significant international and U.S. banking software systems and key Indian casino management systems.

Mr. Schlade, who is also a Certified a Public Accountant, has previously served in part-time positions teaching at Boston University and tax and management consulting at one of the world's largest accounting firms.  He also previously served, while practicing law full-time, as Franchise Editor for Hotel/Motel Management Magazine and as a Director of the Not-For-Profit Corporation administering the Trade Adjustment and Assistance Act for the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Midwest.

For 2006, Mr. Schlade was named to both "Illinois Super Lawyers" and the "Leading Lawyers Network" in franchise and dealership law. He currently also servces on the Board of Directors of HELP ("Help Ease Local Poverty"), a charitable foundation.
